The Super Tie Over
I always wanted to see a Tied Super Over match in T20 cricket. There have been a few tied matches which resulted in Super Overs and had results. But I wanted to have a tie in Super Over. And atlast it has happened. Unfortunately, I could not witness it as it was not being telecasted.
On 5th May, in the ICC Women’s World T20 Group A match between Australia Women and England Women, the two teams ended up scoring 104 runs in their 20overs. The match went into Super Over where each team plays one over. Both teams ended up scoring 6/2 in the single over again. The final result was in favor of Aus Women as they had scored more 6s then Eng women. Aus women had hit 1 six compared to Eng women’s none.
